Introducing the Do it Best Extra Deep Base Alkyd Industrial Coating, a premium quality gloss enamel designed for both interior and exterior applications. This direct-to-metal (DTM) coating is specifically formulated for industrial maintenance and construction purposes, making it an ideal choice for a variety of surfaces including machinery, farm implements, fixtures, conveyors, safety equipment, and doors. With its exceptional rust and corrosion resistance, this coating is also acceptable for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants.

Before application, ensure that the surface is properly prepared by removing any loose rust, dirt, dust, and oil to guarantee optimal adhesion. For enhanced performance, it is recommended to prime bare steel or iron with the Do it Best alkyd industrial primer (Model No. W50W90) prior to applying the topcoat. For aluminum or galvanized steel, use the Do it Best waterborne industrial primer (Model No. W66W900) for best results. Masonry and block surfaces should be cured for at least 28 days, and any holes should be cleaned and filled with block filler before application. Wood surfaces must be clean, dry, and sound, as this coating is self-priming.

This versatile coating can be applied using a brush, roller, or airless sprayer, and cleanup is easy with Xylene. The coating dries to the touch in just 2 hours and can be recoated in 8 hours, providing a coverage area of approximately 200 to 350 square feet per gallon.
